Ezra Pound

A Girl

The tree has entered my hands
The sap has ascended my arms
The tree has grown in my breast-
Donward
The branches grow out of me, like arms.

Tree you are
Moss you are
You are violets whit wind above them.
A child – so high – you are
And all this is folly to the world.

Una Muchacha

El árbol ingresó en mis manos
La savia ascendió por mis brazos
El árbol creció en mi pecho –
Hacia

Pact

I make a pact whit you, Walt Whitman –
I have detested you long enough.
I come to you has a grown child
Who has had a pig – headed father;
I am old enough now to make friends.
It was you that broke the new wood,
Now is a time for carving.
We have one sap and one root-
Let there be commerce between us.

Pacto

Alba

As cool as the pale wet leaves
Toft lily -of - the-valley
She lay beside me in the dawn.

Alba

An Inmorality

Sing we for love and idleness
Naught else is worth the having.

Though I have been in many a land,
There is naught else in living .

And I would rather have my sweet,
Though rose-leaves die of grieving,

Than do high deeds in Hungary
To pass all men´s believing

Y preferí tener a mi dulzura
